Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide assistance with mobility, transferring, and walking to ensure patient safety and prevent falls.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary, adhering to dietary restrictions.
- Administer medications and provide medication reminders as directed by a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Monitor and report any changes in patient health, mood, or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks specifically related to patient care.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, engaging them in conversation and activities.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in Pennsylvania.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods without assistance.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
