Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Health Monitoring: Monitor vital signs, medication reminders, and report any changes in health status or behavior to the supervising nurse immediately.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and light exercises to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation according to dietary restrictions.
- Transportation: Provide safe and reliable transportation to medical appointments, social outings, and grocery shopping.
- Documentation: Accurately document daily care logs and incident reports as required by company policy.
Qualifications
- Education: Must possess a current, valid High School Diploma or GED.
- Certification: Current California Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) certification is preferred; CNA certification is a plus.
- Driver's License: Valid California Driver's License and current auto insurance required.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
