Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary to ensure proper nutrition.
- Monitor patient health, reporting any changes in condition or vital signs to the supervising nurse immediately.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to improve their quality of life.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks specifically related to patient care.
- Assist with mobility, transferring patients to and from bed or wheelchair safely.
- Administer medication as directed by the care plan and document all care activities accurately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred; apprenticeship/training programs available.
- No prior experience required—we value attitude and willingness to learn over past history.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Physical stamina to lift, stand, and assist patients for extended periods.
