Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and light exercises as prescribed by their physician.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry duties.
  • Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature) and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team immediately.
  • Administer medication reminders and support with the operation of medical equipment.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to ensure the patient's mental and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Current Nevada Home Health Aide Certification (HHA) or CNA license required.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required for travel to client homes.
  • Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor are essential.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and health assessment.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Experience working with the geriatric population is preferred but not mandatory.
