Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for our patients.
- Administer medication reminders and monitor for any adverse reactions.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social activities.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse, reporting changes to the nursing supervisor.
- Document care activities and patient progress accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Current, valid Florida driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients safely (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
