Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient health, mood, or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to help patients feel at ease.
- Assist with mobility issues, including transferring patients from bed to wheelchair and walking assistance.
- Administer prescribed medications and reminders as directed by the care plan.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Valid Tennessee driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
