Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients to improve their quality of life.
- Administer medication as directed by the RN or physician and maintain medication logs.
- Transport patients to medical appointments and run errands as needed.
- Observe and report any changes in the patient's physical or mental condition to the supervising nurse.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required for this entry-level position.
- Willingness to obtain a CNA/HHA certification or complete required state training.
- Must be in good physical health to assist patients.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus but we provide training.
- A compassionate and patient demeanor.
