Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and light exercises as directed by the nurse.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Administer medication reminders and document care logs accurately.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to clients to improve their quality of life.
- Communicate any changes in the client's condition to the supervising nurse or case manager immediately.
Qualifications
- No prior professional experience required; a willingness to learn is essential.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, kind demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical ability to lift and assist clients as needed.
