Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during operative procedures by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Prepare operating rooms by arranging equipment and sterilizing instruments and supplies.
- Monitor and maintain sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure nothing is left in the surgical wound.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including washing, shaving, and positioning them safely.
- Transport patients to and from the operating room.
Qualifications
- Current Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Technologist in Surgery (TS) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
