Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the supervising nurse.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist with light medication administration as directed.
- Companionship: Provide social engagement and emotional support to clients to improve their quality of life.
- Household Tasks: Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry to ensure a safe and clean environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Training: Must be willing to complete state-mandated Home Health Aide training (Paid Training provided).
- License: Current Texas HHA or CNA license preferred but not required if completing paid training.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and assist patients up to 250 lbs with proper techniques.
