Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to improve the client's quality of life.
- Monitor client health status and report any changes, symptoms, or concerns to the nursing supervisor.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social activities.
- Administer medication reminders as prescribed and directed by the supervising nurse.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of client care services.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Must be willing to enroll and complete the state-required Home Health Aide training program.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus (or provided upon completion).
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
