Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding according to dietary restrictions.
- Provide light housekeeping and laundry services to maintain a safe, clean living environment.
- Administer medication reminders as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Support mobility by safely transferring, walking, and positioning patients.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Monitor and report any changes in the patient's physical or emotional condition to the supervising nurse.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and community outings.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Nevada CNA or HHA certification (or active enrollment in a CNA/HHA program).
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient demeanor.
- Physical stamina to perform lifting and assisting tasks.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
