Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time and report any side effects or missed doses to the nursing supervisor.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious, appetizing meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for the client, including laundry and light cleaning.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage in meaningful conversations and activities to reduce isolation.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social activities, or errands as needed.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily care logs and incident reports in our electronic health records system.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA).
- Experience: Prior experience in home health, geriatric care, or personal care is preferred but not always required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Driver's License: Valid, unrestricted driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact respectfully with clients and families.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- First Aid/CPR: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
