Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Medication Reminders: Promptly remind clients to take prescribed medications at the scheduled times.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, play games, or accompany clients on walks to reduce loneliness and improve mental well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for the client.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately record and report changes in client behavior, mood, or health status to the nursing supervisor.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Washington State CNA or HHA certification (or willingness to obtain one).
- Valid Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Clean Background: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact respectfully with diverse populations.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods as required by the job.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and patience when working with the elderly or disabled.
