Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, to ensure clients' comfort and hygiene.
- Assist clients with mobility issues, transferring them safely to and from bed, chairs, or wheelchairs.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Administer medication reminders and document vital signs and daily activities in care logs.
- Offer companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in conversation and recreational activities.
- Transport clients to medical appointments or social activities as needed.
- Monitor and report any changes in a client's physical or mental condition to the nursing supervisor.
Qualifications
- Valid Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state required).
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation (required for home health visits).
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
