Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits using EHR systems
- Manage denial resolution and appeals processes
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing operations
- Analyze aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Stay updated on CMS regulations and coding guidelines
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in a US healthcare setting
- Certification in CPC, COC, or CCS preferred
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Expertise in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payer policies
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error tolerance
- Ability to manage high-volume billing cycles efficiently
- Associate degree in Health Information Management or related field
