Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping to ensure a safe living environment.
- Administer medication and document dosages according to medical instructions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients to enhance their quality of life.
- Communicate effectively with patients' families and the clinical care team regarding care plans.
- Transport patients to medical appointments or therapy sessions as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program is preferred.
- Current, valid Home Health Aide certification or Nursing Assistant license required.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients weighing up to 250 lbs using proper body mechanics.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing patient needs.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
