Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time and report any changes in condition to the supervisor.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and social activities to reduce loneliness.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient health status, including weight, temperature, and blood pressure as required.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light cleaning duties.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping trips, or social events.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid California Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care or long-term care is preferred but not always mandatory for the right candidates.
- Driving: A valid driverβs license and reliable transportation are required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: A genuine, patient, and empathetic attitude toward elderly or disabled individuals.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
