Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take medications as prescribed and report any side effects or changes to the nursing supervisor.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and light activities to reduce isolation.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and vacuuming to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record basic vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments or errands as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client care records and progress notes.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Oregon State Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Experience: Prior experience in home health or personal care preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Genuine patience, empathy, and a desire to help others.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
