Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Mobility Support: Help patients move around safely, including transferring from bed to wheelchair.
- Medication Management: Remind patients to take prescribed medications and report any changes in health to the RN.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation and activities to improve the client's emotional well-being.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and cleaning to maintain a safe environment.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily care logs and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or personal care is a plus but not always required.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for home visits.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others.
