Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation and light housekeeping.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition or concerns to the nursing supervisor.
- Administer medication as directed and in accordance with state regulations.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients to enhance their quality of life.
- Document patient care activities and progress accurately in electronic medical records.
- Transport patients to and from medical appointments or therapy sessions when necessary.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
