Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals while accommodating special dietary needs
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to healthcare team
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises
- Manage medication reminders and assist with prescribed treatments
- Maintain accurate patient care documentation
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Follow strict infection control protocols and safety procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Alaska driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform patient transfers
- Compassionate attitude with strong communication skills
- Willingness to complete paid training program (4 weeks)
- Basic computer literacy for documentation
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
