Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote client well-being
- Monitor vital signs and report health changes to care coordinators
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Perform light housekeeping duties and maintain safe home environments
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and maintain medication logs
- Document client care activities and progress in electronic health records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable vehicle
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain during orientation)
- Ability to pass background checks and TB screening
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish preferred
- Empathetic demeanor with patience for elderly care needs
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with mobility
- Previous caregiving experience a plus but not mandatory
