Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, to ensure the client's hygiene and comfort.
- Assist with mobility, including transferring patients from bed to wheelchair or walking with the use of a walker or cane.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Administer medication reminders and document vital signs and daily activities accurately in the care plan.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in conversations and recreational activities.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and social outings as needed.
- Monitor the client's overall health status and report any changes or concerns to the nursing supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver’s License and current auto insurance.
- Previous experience as a Caregiver, CNA, or HHA is preferred but not always required.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Certification in CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) is a plus.
