Position Overview:
As a CNA, you will play a vital role in the daily lives of our patients. You will work closely with nurses and healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patients maintain proper hygiene and are comfortable throughout the day, including assisting with mobility and transferring patients safely.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient needs, concerns, and progress to the charge nurse and interdisciplinary team members.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain patient charts, incident reports, and care plans in accordance with facility policies.
- Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing required.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift. Must have the physical stamina to manage the demands of patient care.
- Soft Skills: Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards patient care and teamwork.
