Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living under the supervision of RNs and physicians.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed and documented.
- Document patient symptoms, reactions, and progress in electronic health records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure patients adhere to dietary restrictions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly patient environment to prevent infection and ensure safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient needs and changes in condition.
Qualifications
- Current and active Tennessee State CNA License required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
