Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation, suction management, and patient monitoring
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Manage patient scheduling, recall systems, and digital chart documentation
- Provide chairside assistance for complex restorative and cosmetic procedures
- Deliver post-operative instructions and ensure patient comfort throughout visits
- Order and maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or eligible for Tennessee state certification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-ray) and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills and ability to put patients at ease
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification and current immunization records required
