Responsibilities
- Draw blood samples using venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.
- Verify patient identities and ensure all medical forms are complete and accurate.
- Label, process, and transport blood samples to the laboratory for testing.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Interact professionally with patients to alleviate anxiety and ensure a comfortable experience.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of phlebotomy equipment.
Qualifications
- Current state Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT) required.
- Valid FL Driver’s License and reliable transportation (if applicable for travel).
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer skills for electronic health record entry.
