Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to strict health and safety protocols.
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures with proficiency in 4-handed dentistry.
- Perform and process dental X-rays (radiographs) accurately.
- Manage patient charts and electronic health records (EHR) with high attention to detail.
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene.
- Coordinate appointment schedules and assist with front desk reception duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB Certified through the National Board.
- Current state license to practice as a Dental Assistant in Virginia.
- Proficient in dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or OpenDental.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients of all ages.
- Ability to maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control standards.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
