Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient records using digital software (Epic/Carestream)
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Order inventory and maintain supply organization
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with front desk staff
Qualifications
- Active Nebraska Dental Assistant certification or DANB eligibility
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental setting
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control protocols
- Strong communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards
