Responsibilities
- Perform routine venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages.
- Ensure the highest standards of patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality during procedures.
- Accurately label, process, and transport blood specimens in compliance with laboratory protocols.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and laboratory staff to ensure timely results.
- Maintain accurate records and manage inventory of phlebotomy supplies.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or certification in progress (e.g., ASCP, NHA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 1-2 years of professional phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.
