Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict protocols
- Process and transport specimens to laboratory facilities with precision
- Maintain detailed patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA
- Ensure sterile techniques and proper infection control procedures
- Provide exceptional patient care during blood collection procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient flow
- Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy equipment
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Proficiency in venipuncture and specimen processing techniques
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Valid CPR certification
- Must pass background check and drug screening
