Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and patient comfort
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Operate and calibrate phlebotomy equipment
- Ensure sterile techniques and infection control standards
- Provide patient education during blood collection procedures
- Collaborate with clinical staff for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Tennessee phlebotomy license in good standing
- Excellent venipuncture skills on diverse patient populations
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Ability to work in fast-paced healthcare environments
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Background check and drug screening clearance
