Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and patient comfort
- Process and label specimens according to CLIA and HIPAA standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and specimen tracking systems
- Operate and calibrate phlebotomy equipment (centrifuges, analyzers)
- Provide patient education and reassurance during procedures
- Collaborate with lab staff for specimen integrity and timely testing
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience or recent graduate from accredited program
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques for diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and specimen handling accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
