Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient demographics
- Process and label specimens with meticulous attention to HIPAA compliance
- Operate and maintain phlebotomy equipment (e.g., centrifuges, analyzers)
- Provide patient education during specimen collection procedures
- Collaborate with laboratory staff for efficient sample processing
- Document all procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain sterile, organized workstations and inventory supplies
Qualifications
- Current Washington State Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced healthcare environments
- Exceptional communication and patient interaction skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
