Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to strict aseptic protocols
- Handle and sterilize surgical equipment and instruments
- Document surgical procedures accurately and maintain records
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless operations
- Provide post-operative equipment care and inventory management
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience
- BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Valid Louisiana state license or eligibility
