Responsibilities

  • Prepare operating rooms by setting up sterile fields, instruments, and equipment per surgical protocols
  • Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, retracting tissues, and suturing as directed
  • Maintain sterile environments throughout surgical cases and enforce strict infection control measures
  • Perform accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before/after procedures
  • Prepare and transport patients to/from operating rooms with dignity and care

Qualifications

  • Accredited Surgical Technology program graduate or equivalent military training
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential or commitment to obtain within 90 days
