Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and surgeries with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols.
- Take and develop high-quality dental X-rays (radiographs) and ensure proper documentation.
- Manage patient records and update dental charts accurately and confidentially.
- Instruct patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene techniques, and treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment environment.
- Order and manage dental supply inventory as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) certification preferred.
- Current Arizona Dental Assistant license (or ability to obtain).
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited dental assisting program is a plus.
