Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize cases based on urgency and acuity
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to develop appropriate care plans
- Utilize EHR systems to document patient information and track outcomes
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to patients and families during critical moments
- Monitor and maintain departmental compliance with Triage protocols and regulatory standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage processes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (required)
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department or critical care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications (or obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to de-escalate stressful situations
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
