Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize medical emergencies using ESI protocols
- Provide accurate telephone triage for patients with acute and chronic conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) with precise documentation
- Delicate patient education on home care instructions and follow-up procedures
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining exceptional service standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Ohio with minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC preferred
- Proficient in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
