Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Perform accurate vital sign measurements and symptom evaluations
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient cases based on acuity
- Provide clear medical instructions and education to patients and families
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) with precision
- Coordinate with emergency services for critical transfers
- Oversee triage station operations and supply management
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX RN)
- Minimum 2 years triage or ER experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Proficient in ESI triage protocols
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
