Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using established triage protocols
- Provide accurate clinical guidance to patients via phone and in-person consultations
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) with precise documentation
- Implement infection control and safety protocols in accordance with hospital policies
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas (or compact license)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of emergency/urgent care experience
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Valid Texas Driver's License (if required for travel)
