Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex procedures including endodontics and orthodontics
- Digital radiography and intraoral imaging using advanced systems like Carestream
- Sterilization and infection control protocol adherence (OSHA/CDC standards)
- Patient education on oral hygiene and treatment procedures
- Digital charting and practice management software proficiency
- Inventory management and supply ordering for 5-operatories
- Mentoring junior assistants and ensuring smooth clinic workflow
Qualifications
- Current DANB certification or Arizona Dental Assistant license
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Expanded Functions certification (EFDA) preferred
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Experience with digital imaging and practice management software
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and chairside manner
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Spanish bilingual skills highly valued
