Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex dental procedures including restorative and surgical cases
- Manage digital imaging systems (X-rays, CBCT) and ensure diagnostic accuracy
- Implement strict sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Train new assistants on practice workflows and patient communication techniques
- Oversee inventory management for dental supplies and equipment maintenance
- Coordinate patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene
- Maintain precise digital records using Eaglesoft practice management software
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in Texas
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general or specialty dentistry
- Advanced knowledge of infection control and HIPAA compliance
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for patient rapport and team collaboration
