Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex restorative and cosmetic procedures
- Execute digital radiography and intraoral imaging protocols
- Manage sterilization and infection control per OSHA standards
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize daily appointment schedules
- Maintain precise dental charts and electronic health records
- Train new assistants on practice-specific protocols and equipment
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for specialized procedures
Qualifications
- Current Illinois Dental Assistant license or DANB certification
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or Dentrix practice management software
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Exceptional chairside manner for anxious pediatric and adult patients
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment with 100% accuracy
- Portfolio showcasing digital imaging and crown/bridge experience
