Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including implant placement and cosmetic restorations
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control standards exceeding OSHA requirements
- Train and mentor junior assistants on practice workflows and patient communication
- Utilize digital radiography and practice management software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- Coordinate treatment planning and insurance verification processes
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering for 5 operatories
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA license required
- 3+ years of experience in general or cosmetic dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and CAD/CAM systems
- CPR/BLS certification and X-ray license
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- Associate's degree in Dental Assisting preferred
