Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments
- Manage digital imaging systems and maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Implement OSHA/CDC protocols for sterilization and instrument processing
- Train and mentor new dental assistants on clinical workflows and safety protocols
- Coordinate patient flow, prepare treatment rooms, and manage inventory of dental supplies
- Provide chairside support and post-operative instructions to patients
- Assist in emergency dental procedures and handle medical equipment calibration
Qualifications
- Certificate or Associate's degree in Dental Assisting from accredited program
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in a general or specialty dental practice
- Current DANB certification and Pennsylvania radiology license
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to infection control standards
