Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Train and mentor new dental assistants on protocols and techniques
- Maintain sterilization protocols and inventory management for dental instruments
- Perform digital radiography and chairside assistance with advanced equipment
- Coordinate with dental labs for prosthetic fabrication and case planning
- Implement infection control standards exceeding OSHA guidelines
Qualifications
- Current Florida Dental Assistant certification and radiology license
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Advanced knowledge of dental software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft preferred)
- CPR/BLS certification and HIPAA compliance training
- Proven experience in sterilization and infection control procedures
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Experience mentoring junior staff or training new hires
