Responsibilities
- Perform chairside assistance during complex restorative and cosmetic procedures
- Manage digital radiography and CBCT imaging with precise positioning
- Implement OSHA and CDC infection control protocols in sterilization workflow
- Train new assistants on practice-specific software and clinical protocols
- Assist with treatment planning coordination and patient education materials
- Manage inventory ordering and supply chain optimization
- Chairside monitoring during IV sedation procedures
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) required
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general/specialty practice
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft and Dexis imaging systems
- Excellent knowledge of dental anatomy and restorative materials
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient rapport and team leadership
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
- Valid Virginia dental radiography license
