Responsibilities
- Assess and triage incoming patient calls and communications with accuracy and urgency.
- Evaluate patient symptoms to determine the appropriate level of care and recommend appropriate actions.
- Document patient interactions, medical histories, and triage notes into electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to facilitate patient care.
- Educate patients on medication regimens, treatment plans, and preventative care measures.
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia (or Compact State) required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in triage or telehealth.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure.
